Announcing: Gods & Minions – the roleplaying game

Respected Minions,
I am happy to announce another Gods & Minions related, free print-and-play project: To bridge the rather lengthy development time of the Gods & Minions card based wargame, I have decided to create a pen-and-paper roleplaying game based on the world of Gods & Minions.

gnm-rpgAs some of you might already know, Im working on a pen-and-paper RPG system since quite some time now. At first it started using a commercial francise, but the system can be easily adapted to Gods & Minions. And as the rules core is my own creation it just makes sense to use my own background world together with the rules. I will also re-use the art found in the Gods & Minions card game to make the book as visually appealing as possible.

Best of all: The project will be available for FREE as PDF download from this (and other) sites.

Of course this is a big task, as the book will compromise large parts of the Gods & Minions background world. As well as the complete rules, race and class descriptions, skills, equipment and divine powers. Not to speak about the bestiary and all the other stuff that is required for full-fledged pen-and-paper RPG sessions!

This being said, I just cannot tell a definite release date yet – but it will surely be before the Gods & Minions card game.

Thanks for reading, stay tuned – exciting times ahead!

-Tobias (Author of Gods & Minions)

Combat Example #1: Khor vs. Faylon (3/3)

combat-explainedHey all, welcome back to the third installment of our Combat Example: Khor vs. Faylon blogpost series. Remember our last post? The Dwarf player exhausted both of his cards to let them attack, and the two Crossbowmen fired and defeated one of the Elves. Today we will finish the combat sequence by taking a look at the Melee phase and the outcome of this battle.
